If you fancy steering clear of the hustle and bustle of the main resort, the Val Thorens Valley has a fair few ideal spots to consider. Les Menuires, located at 1800m, is in a superb position to catch the snow. It also has a nice selection of chalet apartments built literally a stone’s throw from the Bruyeres high-speed chairlift that will whisk you up to Mont de la Chambre, offering Meribel access in no time. Carrying on further down the valley you will stumble across the quaint little village of Le Bettex (1600m). If it’s a quiet, relaxing skiing holiday you are after then Le Bettex is perfect. And last but certainly not least, you will arrive in the village of St Martin de Belleville (1400m), superbly linked to the 3 Valleys right between Les Menuires and Meribel.

Christmas Ski Holidays 2009- CONVENIENCE
CHALET CATHERINE – Considering Val Thorens is mainly apartment buildings with individual chalets nestled inside, Chalet Catherine is a rarity. One of the very few stand-alone chalets in the whole of the resort, and sharing its roof with its little brother the Olivier (on the top floor), you have the bonus of a shared sauna to relax tired muscles at the end of your long day. You couldn’t ask for a better located chalet, arguably one of the best located in the entire 3 Valleys. It’s smack in the centre of all the action and less than a hop, skip and jump to the main blue piste that runs through the centre of resort. The Catherine also offers you the luxury of all en-suite rooms, most with balconies.

CHALET DELFINA – Situated not in the centre of resort but in the hamlet of Les Menuires, in the Val Thorens valley (1800m) this chalet would be absolutely ideal for all families. The chalet itself is in a superb location; the Les Bruyeres high-speed chairlift is directly behind the chalet’s complex, where a lot of the valley’s ski schools have their meeting points. Easy for the parents. Easy for the kids.
The chalet’s interior has a very cosy, home-away-from-home feel about it. The rooms are all en-suite and fitted with deluxe high pressured shower heads. You also have…are you ready for it…fantastic outdoor hot tub with the most outstanding views of the entire Val Thorens valley!

CHALET BONHOMME DE NEIGE – From its North East position at the top of the resort, the Chalet Bonhomme de Neige towers over everything. Close enough to the resort centre to offer access to the bars and restaurants within a few minutes, you’re also able to ski back to within 100m of the chalet at the end of the day. Perfect! To keep the kids and the young at heart happy, you also have access to the facilities, including a swimming pool, sauna and fitness area. Most of the rooms are twins/doubles with a couple of family/quad rooms to accommodate families with younger children. All offer the luxury of en-suite facilities.
